What is it?
Order Trakker is the latest in our Trakker Suite of products. Order Trakker is a
state of the art order entry system written for the grocery industry but with slight
modifications can work with virtually any industry or customer type. The software is
written in C# and runs under Microsoft .NET and Microsoft .NET Compact framework. The
software can run on any Windows Mobile portable device.
We currently have the program
rolled out at a large Grocer in the Midwest using the Motorola MC70 terminal.
The handheld program is a full featured order entry solution which allows a store or
sales person to perform order entry, Inventory, and barcode label control for their
store requirements. Our goal with the new offering is to offer a new full featured
order entry solution to replace the hundreds of older batch Telxon
order systems currently in the market.
Many grocery and other retail customers have successfully
been using Telxon 610 and 710 terminals for these order entry solutions for several
years but are now finding the need to upgrade these outdated systems. This is where
Order Trakker comes in. Order Trakker offers the following functionality:

Order Entry Screen Shot

Easy Edit/Review Screen Shot
|
Functionality
-
Order Entry- Type in or scan a barcode from shelf labels or an order book.
The item is verified as a valid item and displays the description weight, size, and
cost details of the item keeping a running total of each of these. User can then
scan item again to add to the quantity (each scan adds qty 1 to order) or they can simply
type the qty needed in the qty field.
-
Easy to Review/Edit Orders- The order can be viewed and any item can be easily edited
using sorting and search capabilities . After the order has been transmitted, it can
still be easily reviewed for reference
-
Substitution- If the item scanned is no longer an active item and if there is a
substitute item, that item is suggested to the user.
-
Back room inventory- This feature allows the user to go into the back room and perform
a count of the on hand backroom inventory. Now this information is available to the
user/order entry device to assist during the order entry process. When the item is
scanned for order the back room qty on hand is displayed for reference so the user does
not over order a product because he is not aware of on-hand inventory.
-
In Transit Notification- Similar to back room inventory we can also display this field
on the terminal as well so the user knows what is in transit but not yet delivered from
his previous order.
-
Label request- This function allows the user to order new or replacement shelf labels
and control the pricing to be printed on these.

Communication Server
We have a server application that handles the data flow back and
forth between the portable terminals and the main office or warehouse. This server can
communicate either through dial up via the modem cradle, or over the internet by
connecting the cradle to the PC. Orders and label requests are sent to the server, and
the server keeps the portable terminals updated with current item files, pricing,
promotional items, special pricing offers, survey information, etc. The server can then
hand off the orders to the host system for processing via flat files or whatever format(s)
needed.
